Safeguarding
At Libra Netball Club we take our responsibility of safeguarding seriously.
Our role is to Recognise what is meant by safeguarding children and young people in sport.
-Be able to identify the main categories of child abuse and their common indicators.
-Understand how child abuse affects children, both in the present and in the future.
-Understand your responsibilities for responding to concerns about child abuse in sport and how to report and record them appropriately.
-Understand how to commit to excellence in safeguarding in our club.
All our players, coaches, officials, and volunteers have a shared duty to participate in environments that are as safe as practically possible for everyone involved. This duty is referred to, in the eyes of the law, as the ‘duty of care’.
Libra NC has procedures to ensure the safety of our coaches and athletes, please ensure you have had access to our safeguarding policy, media and photography policy and you are aware of our safeguarding officers and how to report any concerns.
Our clubs safeguarding officers are Kate Flute and Lana Duffin and can be contacted via [email protected] to raise any concerns. Please do not hesitate to get in touch, no matter how small you may feel the matter may be.
